Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church was established in 1960 by the late Rev. Dr. Eddie Ray Thomas. Dr. Thomas passed May 30, 2003. The current pastor is Dr. John H. Tolliver. This church is small in number but large in the community. The motto is "To Have a Friend, You Must First Be a Friend."
