Brothers and sisters,
It is so important in Gods plan for man to live in obedience to His every word, not only for us today but it was of utter importance in old testament times as well.
Pointing as it did to Christ, His person and His work, the wilderness tabernacle had to be constructed in exact accordance with the divine pattern. Not one detail could be overlooked or changed. In building the tabernacle, the children of Israel obeyed the Lords commands to the letter. Their obedience produced Gods tabernacle where He could actually dwell with His people. Because they had done just as the Lord had commanded, Moses blessed them. Their blessing came to them because of their obedience to the Lord. The blessing of God is ours today by the same obedience the children of Israel showed the Lord in building the wilderness tabernacle. The Lord still wants to inhabit His tabernacle, but in our day and age it is not a tent. His tabernacle is the individual bodies of His children who are saved and live in obedience to his every word.
The world we live in today is a God forsaken world that is built upon the foundation of money, power and sex. If we, as the children of God, saved by the blood of His precious Son,ever have any hope of winning these deceived, lost souls, we need to live in complete obedience to every word of God. Every action we take, every move we make, is seen by every lost soul out there, and if we do one thing that is contrary to the Word of God, It may cost the life of an untold number of our lost family, friends, and loved ones.
So next time you are tempted to do something that does not agree with the Word of God, remember, there are consequences to every move we make. Time is very short brothers and sisters. Lets live in obedience to every Word of God, The rewards you receive, may be the lives of those you love the most.
