Summer 2005 - We live in a unique time in the history of our nation. Christianity is under attack as perhaps never before. Many in our country now associate Christianity with prejudice, bigotry, and warmongering, which is a travesty as these things couldn't be further from the character of Christ. If there ever has been a need for us to display true Christianity to the world it is now. Our responsibilty is simple, to love others as Christ loved. Only by doing this will we be able to turn the tide of growing hatred towards Christians in our country.
It is the time for the Body of Christ in America to shake off comfort and complacency and truly BE what Christians are called to be - disciples of Christ who are surrendered to Him to serve and follow wholeheartedly. We were born intentionally into this time in history, and there is a task for each of us to accomplish. Let us be found faithful with the talents God has given us, to use them for His glory according to His will for our lives.
Verse of the Month:
"You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord."
